DMs Open

DMs Open is a zine about winning remote organizing.

Since the pandemic, tech workers have reached out to Collective Action in Tech asking for advice and guidance on how to organize in workplaces that are increasingly remote-first. How do we build relationships over zoom? What does outreach look like when we haven’t met our coworkers in real life? How can our remote office tools work to our advantage when organizing a campaign? While the answer to these questions may differ from workplace to workplace, we’ve seen a variety of best practices across campaigns when it comes to remote organizing. DM’s Open aims to encapsulate some of these learnings and is the result of many conversations with tech workers and other remote workers over the past 2+ years, during a whirlwind period of new and intensified organizing.
